John Cena gets good news following his neck surgery

John Cena received good news following surgery to repair the herniated disc in his neck. "I think John’s prognosis is excellent," neurosurgeon Joseph Maroon told WWE.com after performing the surgery on Tuesday. "He should be able to return to wrestling in two to four months. John will be working out next week. We performed this same procedure on three all pro NFL players; and all three resumed their football careers.”

Maroon noted that he removed a large disc fragment compression on the spinal cord that was weakening the nerve leading to Cena's right arm, which was causing the numbness. To read the full story, visit WWE.com.

Powell's POV: If all goes well, Cena could be back in the ring at Survivor Series in two months or in January for the Royal Rumble if he takes the four months off. That's great news for Cena and I'm sure Vince McMahon and Raw creative is breathing easier now that they know they won't be without their top star through WrestleMania 25.
