WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights. To order J.R.'s BBQ products, visit WWEShop.com.

-Ross on Dolph Ziggler: "WWE World Champion Dolph Ziggler has a serious concussion which may be a redundant statement because what concussion isn't serious? There's no timeline as to Ziggler's return as WWE will be particularly cautious in dealing with any injury but especially a head injury."

Powell's POV: Ross wrote a lot about concussions in pro sports in his full lengthy blog, which is available via the link at the top of the page. Obviously, the first concern is that Ziggler makes a full recovery, but you have to wonder whether he will be able to work at Extreme Rules as advertised. It does not seem like that's a lock at this point. If he is unable to go at the pay-per-view but WWE officials believe he won't be out long term, could we see a story where the powers that be force Big E Langston to defend the strap against Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger in the Triple Threat ladder match?

-Ross on NXT wrestlers: "@WWEBrayWyatt and Corey Graves @WWEGraves will be on the next WWE, live event tour this weekend as the NXT representatives get the opportunity to gain more experience with the main roster. Both men are keepers and Wyatt especially has some special traits that one cannot teach. He's a near 300 pounder who has the valued and rare, second gear and has a natural gift of gab much like his grandfather, the legendary Blackjack Mulligan, WWE HOFer. Graves is a Pittsburgh kid who sort of reminds me of a young, @CMPunk at times. Very bright and very aggressive."

Powell's POV: Wyatt is better known to WWE fans as Husky Harris. His new gimmick is hot in NXT and should eventually carry over nicely on WWE television.

-Ross on Shawn Michaels Appreciation Night: "I will be in Salt Lake City to host "Shawn Michaels Appreciation Night" on Friday May 24. Will fly there from NXT the night before in Orlando. Really excited to meet some great fans in SLC and to be a part of a special night honoring the WWE HOFer. Hopefully we will have a big, loud crowd."

Powell's POV: HBK Night in Salt Lake City rather than San Antonio? HBK is also working the Red Deer, Alberta and Lethbridge, Alberta live events that weekend. It appears WWE is attempting to load up those shows with HBK, Chris Jericho, and The New Age Outlaws because John Cena is not working live events that weekend. Nothing against Cena, but I would take that tradeoff.

Other topics include much more on concussions in pro sports, strap matches, Jake Roberts and Scott Hall, and more.
