Jim Ross on whether Steve Austin, Bill Goldberg, and Dave Batista will return to WWE, the pro wrestling bias, and wrestlers who don't plan for their financial futures

-Ross on whether Steve Austin, Bill Goldberg, and Dave Batista will return to WWE: "I get these Tweets daily, will @steveaustinBSR or @Goldberg ever return to WWE? I'm wondering why those asking don't Tweet the talents themselves. Not everyone that has had a wrestling career wants to return to the grind. It's not that glamorous. Same goes for @DaveBautista who's also building a film career."

Powell's POV: Austin and Batista haven't closed the door completely on working matches for WWE again, and Goldberg seemed interested in working at WrestleMania in Georgia. Obviously, Austin would be back for a short run at best, and there's certainly no guarantee he'll ever return to the ring.

-Ross on the pro wrestling bias: "I strongly dislike this unflattering trait that many in our society have. Perhaps that's why acting, for some wrestlers, is a viable alternative for performers leaving the business. Society isn't geared to afford many other opportunities for former wrestlers without them having a marketable skill set and especially without an education."

Powell's POV: Everyone needs something to look down on to feel better about themselves. Some look down on pro wrestling, I look down on people who obsess over political talk shows, original Star Trek nerds, and Wisconsin residents. Okay, so for me it's all in good fun, but I do find a sense of irony in those who obsess over the political talk shows, yet look down their noses at pro wrestling, and can't spot the similarities in many cases.

-Ross on things he's "over": "Past their prime wrestlers who still won't look in the mirror and admit that they blew their earnings by doing no financial planning including paying their taxes. Paying quarterly means paying four times per year not once very twenty five years. Same goes for other 'I had it all and lost it athletes' who lived beyond their means."

Powell's POV: Nice line regarding the quarterly taxes not meaning every 25 years. It is sad that so many athletes and celebrities don't take care of business. That said, I hope WWE is taking steps to help educate their talent on financial matters.
