WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights. To order J.R.'s BBQ products, visit WWEShop.com.
-Ross on UFC 148: "I'll be watching the PPV Saturday night from the comfort of my own home, as we used to say in the early days of PPV. Should be a heck of a presentation as the expectations for such are high. I'd love to see Chael Sonnen win but he may have let his magic moment slip by the last time that @sonnench fought 'Spider.' I see Silva doing nasty damage with his standup which could see this title bout end by round three. It won't go five in my opinion. Chael's wrestling game must be razor sharp to slice the spider."
Powell's POV: I'm pulling for Sonnen, yet picking Silva to win. I question whether Silva was taking Sonnen lightly going into their last fight. If so, that certainly won't be the case this time around. The best thing for the sport would be a Sonnen upset or anything else that leads to the need for a rematch between the two rivals.
-Ross on a TV appearance: "@shawnmichaels is having me on his Outdoor Network show this year and we're likely to tape it in December. If the plan goes through I think that viewers will be VERY interested in the concept."
Powell's POV: I have a feeling they will be putting some of JR's BBQ Sauce on whatever they target. Michaels' show is called "MacMillan River Adventures" and airs on the Outdoor Channel.
-Ross on Raw 1,000: "What's going to happen at Raw 1000? I honestly don't know and if I did I would not spoil any surprises. Am I scheduled to be there? Not at this time. That's the truth. However, it would be a nice opportunity to see many old friends."
Powell's POV: I'll be very surprised if Ross doesn't make an appearance on the show. After all, he is still the voice of Raw in the minds of most fans, and WWE is bringing back a lot of talent for that show.
Other topics include more of UFC 148, JBL, Oklahoma Sooners football, Undertaker, Dallas Page, and more.
