WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights. To order J.R.'s BBQ products, visit WWEShop.com.

-Ross on C.M. Punk vs. The Rock: "I will say that stylistically and from a match structure standpoint that the Punk vs. Rock bout Sunday is the most legitimately intriguing bout that I can recall anticipating in years. That's a fact."

Powell's POV: Ross delivered a lengthy preview of the Punk vs. Rock match and offered his prediction in his full blog. I think they will work very well together despite the differences in styles. Ross's preview took a sports-like look at the match and brought Rock's lack of recent in-ring time into question. I would like to hear the guys calling the match do the same. For that matter, it would have been nice to hear them discussing that topic during the buildup for the match.

-Ross on the Royal Rumble winner: "Kind of think that John Cena should win the Rumble match but I could also see someone like Dolph Ziggler stealing that specific 'show' too."

Powell's POV: Ziggler being one of the first two entrants has many of us expecting a long and impressive showing for him on Sunday. Could they have him win the Rumble and have him threaten to cash in his MITB contract on the spot even if he loses the title match at WrestleMania? In other words, the champion would be forced to beat Ziggler twice to retain. That's not my prediction, but it is getting some talk amongst fans. I'll save my final predictions for my usual pay-per-view preview and predictions article on Sunday.

-Ross on a book: "PS...Been giving the book idea more thought. Finally getting excited about it."

Powell's POV: I'd love to read a Ross autobiography. If Ross has second thoughts about writing one, how about a WWE DVD biography on his life and career? Ross is one of the most popular mainstay figures in the company. At the very least, WWE should consider something along those lines for the WWE Network. Hey, whatever happened to all the network talk?
