Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights of his Unforgiven pay-per-view blog.

-Ross on The Brian Kendrick: "Brian Kendrick had an excellent night even without Zeke. To think of where Kendrick was only a few months ago and where he is today is encouraging."

Powell's POV: Right on. The Brian Kendrick was great last night and I'd get a kick out of it if he played up the fact that he's a former WWE Interim Champion. Either way, he delivered one of the more memorable moments of the Smackdown Championship Scramble when he caught MVP with the kick and prevented him from hitting the Drive-by.

-Ross on Jeff Hardy: "Jeff Hardy had a good night and “felt” like a big star. Perception becomes reality in wrestling and I definitely perceive Jeff as an ever evolving star."

Powell's POV: I disagree on this one. Yes, Hardy delivered a good performance, but I think there are some fans who have lost hope. It just seems like his act isn't as hot as it was when he came back from the suspension. Don't get me wrong, he's still one of the most over guys in the company and creative can get him just as over as he was before, but he needs a hot, main event level program to get people buzzing about him again.

-Ross on MVP: "MVP’s night might not have jumped out at some, but he was solid and still looks like he could potentially be a WWE Champion. MVP needs to get his edge back and 'get on a roll,' which he has the skills to do."

Powell's POV: I didn't think the match showcased MVP in any way. Obviously, the focus was on Triple H and Hardy, but I felt Kendrick and Shelton Benjamin were given more moments to shine. I agree with J.R. about MVP's potential. I was hopeful that WWE was going to surprise us by putting the belt around his waist last night. Wishful thinking I know.

Other topics include the Unforgiven pay-per-view performances of Triple H, Matt Hardy, Randy Orton and his new proteges, and the Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho match.
