WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights. To order J.R.'s BBQ products, visit WWEShop.com.

-Ross on his appreciation night: "My sincere thanks to all the folks at WWE and the WWE fans for my special evening this past Monday in OKC. The post Raw activities, which can be seen on wwe.com, exceeded my wildest expectations... I was deeply touched by the remarks made by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and HHH. I have to tell you that the award that WWE presented me was the nicest thing that I've ever been bestowed including my 2007 WWE Hall of Fame ring. The "Voice of WWE' engraving brought me to tears I'm not ashamed to say."

Powell's POV: Vince McMahon's speech was the highlight of the ceremony. It was nice to hear Vince publicly praise Ross after all the humiliating segments that Ross has been subjected to in his hometown.

-Ross on the highest rated segment on WWE Raw: "The segment that @CMPunk and I were involved in, of course along with the irrepressible @HeymanHustle Paul Heyman, was the highest rated quarter hour of the three hour broadcast which is a tribute to the WWE Champion and his evil sidekick."

Powell's POV: Ross is being humble. As I mentioned in my live coverage and Hitlist, Ross showed great fire in responding to Punk. As for Punk and Heyman, I'm loving the way they've turned most of the WWE fans against Punk. Punk isn't getting the mixed crowd reactions like he was early in his run, and that's a testament to the great heel mic work they've been delivering.

-Ross on Ryback: "Ryback is just starting to come into his own. I got a tweet from a teacher that said his students were chanting "Feed Me More" prior to their lunch at school recently. Ryback is a unique talent who will hopefully carve out his niche much like other power and strength guys have over the years which takes a little more time and perseverance than many traditional talents. Ryback's exposure Monday night was timely for him and his progression."

Powell's POV: Ryback was set up as Ross's savior on Monday and it worked perfectly. Whether you feel it should be Ryback or someone else, you have to admit that it's good to see WWE creating new main event talent.
