WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights. To order J.R.'s BBQ products, visit WWEShop.com.

-Ross on Sami Zayn: "Keep an eye on NXT talent Sami Zayn. He's a keeper and likely will be on a WWE main roster this year or so I think. Great attitude and skill set. There are several excellent prospects in NXT. How they are introduced to the masses is a huge key."

Powell's POV: Zayn is unmasked former ROH Champion El Generico. He has been working the live events lately and received a favorable review for his work at Sunday's show from a fan who was familiar with his background. You can check out that review on the main page. It won't happen now that Ryback is locked into a program with C.M. Punk, but I thought Zayn could have been a cool 1-2-3 Kid type who upsets the bully character.

-Ross on writing an autobiography: "Giving more thought on writing an autobiography. Funny how many fans want the book to be a tawdry, salacious book. That's not happening."

Powell's POV: I think most fans will be satisfied if it's well written, honest, and entertaining autobiography from Ross. It's foolish to expect him to burn bridges, but Ross is opinionated enough that I'm sure there will be plenty of talking points coming out of the book.

-Ross on : "Had a great time Saturday in Fishkill, New York at their Wrestling Under the Stars event. Promoter Michael Lombardi does a wonderful job at his events. Great seeing Jerry Lawler, Charles Wright, Rikishi, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Matt Striker, John Morrison and many others. Scott looked great and has made legit, giant steps in getting healthier. I'm so proud of him. Scott's son Cody Hall is an excellent, young prospect who's being coached and mentored by his Dad. The young man has major potential. The event Saturday was my last, scheduled wrestling booking for 2013."

Powell's POV: It seems like Cody has received favorable reviews from everyone in the wrestling business. He's still early in his development, but one can only hope that there will be a spot for him at the WWE Performance Center when the time is right.

Other topics include UFC 165, why Ross is heading to Chicago this week, former WWE star John Morrison, and more.
