Jim Ross comments on Undertaker vs. Sting at WrestleMania 30, whether he is interested in broadcasting WWE or elsewhere again and whether he is boycotting WrestleMania 30

-Ross on Undertaker vs. Sting at WrestleMania 30: "I get daily questions on whether a Sting vs. Undertaker match at WrestleMania is ever going to happen. I have no answer to that query but I can say that it's seemingly fish or cut bait time as the window off opportunity is rapidly closing on an attraction that fans have been clamoring for years."

Powell's POV: Ah, yes, it's that time again. For those not following along, Sting's contract usually expires around this time of the year, and it leads to a ton of speculation that he could be WWE bound for the big showdown match with Undertaker. Given the financial changes in TNA, I do believe it's possible he does business with WWE once his deal expires. Whether that business is Taker vs. Sting remains to be seen. At the very least, I assume Sting has a WWE Hall of Fame induction in his future.

-Ross on whether he would consider broadcasting again: "Yes I'd consider broadcasting again and feel motivated to do so but it takes two to Tango and most companies aren't looking to hire 61 year old guys with Bells palsy. I never let my facial paralysis define me but unfortunately some companies do along with the stigma that being a long time 'pro wrestling guy' has to some narrow minded, uncreative decision makers."

Powell's POV: With WWE Network coming soon, one would have to think that WWE recognizes the need to have Ross back in the fold in some capacity. The ship may have sailed on Ross serving as a weekly WWE play-by-play voice on Raw or Smackdown, but certainly there has to be plenty of spots to include Ross on network programming. -Ross on whether he is boycotting WrestleMania 30: "I'm sorry if I offend some who think that I'm boycotting WM30 because of my own, admitted, lofty ego, but any talent being a part of any event is largely up to the promotion. If a promotion extends an offer and the talent roadblocks it, then that's another story. I'm not boycotting any offer to broadcast anything if it's a win-win arrangement. At this stage of the game, it has to be fun and something where I can be myself behind the mic."

Powell's POV: I could be mistaken, but I believe Ross has watched and commented on every WWE pay-per-view since his departure. He's a little more outspoken with his comments on the product because he doesn't have to toe the company line, but I've never gotten the sense that he's boycotting WWE on any level. It sounds like JR will be in New Orleans for WrestleMania doing his spoken word show(s), so he'll be in the area if WWE wants to extend the invitation.
