WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights. To order J.R.'s BBQ products, visit WWEShop.com.

-Ross on John Cena selecting Daniel Bryan to challenge for the WWE Championship: "John Cena picked the only man that he should have logically picked, in my opinion, for the main event for the WWE Title bout at SummerSlam and that was the red hot Daniel Bryan. I will not be surprised if DB beats Cena in LA as that outcome would be HUGE in WWE-land and significantly re-shuffle the deck. Plus, MITB winner Randy Orton is obviously and largely in play no mater the main event's outcome as Orton could realistically leave Summer Slam as the WWE Champion no matter who wins the Cena-Bryan match."

Powell's POV: It wouldn't shock me if Randy Orton leaves SummerSlam with the WWE Championship. Perhaps Bryan gets the win over Cena only to have Orton pull the rug out from under him. WWE has some intriguing options at SummerSlam with this match and it already feels like a big time event.

-Ross on RVD vs. Chris Jericho: "Loved the Jericho-RVD match. Generally a cold match featuring two, fan favorites challenges the crowd to emotionally invest as the rule of thumb is that the fans don't want either man to lose. These two men put on such a great performance that it embraced all that were in Brooklyn live and that emotion translated well on TV. In 48 hours, RVD is already more relevant than he was the entire time that he was away from WWE."

Powell's POV: WWE deserves a lot of credit for the way they aggressively hyped the return of RVD with video packages for a month leading up to his return at the pay-per-view. It became a major selling point of the show and he is one of the most over wrestlers in the company right now.

-Ross on Fandango and Summer Rae: "Fandango made a nice showing vs the MITB winner Randy Orton. Summer Rae's ringside work adds to Fandango's TV persona. Fandango's best days are ahead especially as Summer Rae continues to develop while @RandyOrton is at the top of his game."

Powell's POV: I failed to address Summer Rae's work in Fandango's corner in my Hit Lists. She is enhancing the act, as she does more than dance and then stand around during the matches. Her character is engaged and is becoming more vocal. She's doing a good job and I assume her role is expanding. Keep in mind that she can work, so don't be surprised if you see her pop up in mixed tag matches at some point.
