Jake Roberts is scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next month. Prowrestling.net has learned that he will be released temporarily from treatment to attend the award and someone will be assigned to keep an eye on him. There are also rumblings that Scott Hall, who is in the same treatment facility in Georgia, might attend the Hall of Fame ceremony with Roberts.

Powell’s UPDATE: Since this story was originally published, the people handling Roberts' Myspace page have disputed the report that he has been invited to attend the ceremony. They claim this doesn't mean he won't be invited this year or in the future. Are they playing damage control because the word leaked? We'll find out soon enough. However, it is worth noting that I was wrong about the timeline of Jake's release. He will actually be released from treatment before the ceremony takes place, which I noted in a separate news story.
