Paul Heyman was interviewed for a second time by the UK Sun to hype the debut of “The Heyman Hustle,” which debuts on Monday in the same publication. The following are among the WWE-related highlights of the interview.

-“I’m sure this is going to piss everybody off. The theory is that Vince (McMahon) envisions himself running WWE well into his 90s, bypassing the Stephanie/Shane generation and going forward with the succession to Shane’s sons because then it’s a McMahon running the company... It’s the same deal that is going on right now with The Royal Family—The Queen is staying alive so Prince Charles doesn’t get the throne!”

-“Stephanie (McMahon) is a lot like her father. Even those closest to her would refer to her as The Vincess. And they said it in a manner that cannot be mistake—they mean it as the ultimate compliment. She has that drive, she has that ambition and she craves doing the job... Steph competes with herself to be better at her job tomorrow than she is today, and better two days from now than she is tomorrow.”

-“(Stephanie) has her father’s ruthlessness and that’s a very necessary component to taking over the company that she may one day inherit. Stephanie wouldn’t think twice about making peace with me if it’s good for business. And she wouldn’t think twice about slashing my throat if it’s good for business either.”

-“Of course I still watch (wrestling). “I’m still a big fan and I still appreciate the art form. I still get goosebumps seeing the live reaction when it hits. I never lost a love for the business, it’s just that my time in it is up.”

Powell’s POV: Heyman is right, that theory about Vince bypassing Stephanie in favor of Shane’s kids is going to piss some people off and get WWE Headquarters buzzing. He also revealed a lot about Stephanie’s personality, particularly when it comes to her work ethic and her ruthlessness. It’s a fascinating interview. Heyman has told me directly in the past that he has no plans to write a tell-all book, and I don’t think he’d be doing these types of interviews if he wasn’t trying to stir up interest in his new online project. He could always change his mind about writing a book, but unless he does this is as close as fans will get to finding out his opinion on a wide variety of topics. I’ll post a portion of the interview that focusses on TNA and ROH shortly.
