Former WWE wrestler Colt Cabana claimed in a Slam Wrestling story that a WWE trainer referred to him as "Kike Cabana while he was in the developmental system. "When I was in OVW, one of my WWE trainers called me 'Kike Cabana,' in front of everybody!," Cabana said. I looked at him like he was some kind of moron. It was one of the most ignorant things anyone could ever do. I'll never forget that."

"The WWE is part of corporate America, and for [one of their employees] to call me 'Kike Cabana' in front of everybody was one of the most anti-Semitic things I've ever experienced," he continued. To read the full story, visit Slam Wrestling.

Powell's POV: Cabana did not reveal the identity of the trainer who used that term to describe him, so I won't speculate here. It will be interesting to see whether Heyman and Cabana's story generate mainstream interest, which is the last thing WWE wants at a time when they make themselves most accessible to the mainstream media.

I'm curious to know whether Cabana filed a complaint and whether action was taken against the trainer. My assumption is that he did not because he was in developmental and didn't want to rock the boat. Either way, it's good to see him speaking out now.
