Former WWE Diva Serena makes a surprise return to the ring

Recently released WWE Diva Serena made a surprise return to the ring at the SHIMMER tapings in Berwyn, Ill. on Saturday. She defeated Kelly Skater in what Dot Net reader Rich B. described as a "great match."

Rich added: "She came back out in the second half of the show and had the crowd on their feet, cutting a great promo about her last several years. Portia Perez, her former tag team partner came out to interrupt her promo, calling her on "selling out" - setting up a match between the two for tomorrow's tapings."

Powell's POV: Serena has a 90-day noncompete with WWE, but she can work indy shows. The 90-day period can be a lucrative time for released talents, as they are still paid by WWE, and can make additional money on the indy scene during that time.
