Dot Net reader Carlos Hurtado sent the following recap of Mickie James's appearance on FOX News Channel's "Red Eye" television show.

The show started by showing her short clip of some of her matches in WWE. She was asked what influenced her CD "Strangers & Angels." James responded, "My biggest influences for the CD have to be growing up in a small town in Virgina and being on the road 250 days a year, so you spend of time listening to the radio."

James was asked what the differences are between being a wrestler and a country singer. She said that wrestling is much easier because your driven by raw emotion and raw passion, but in singing your vulnerable on stage because its just you and your mic.

She was asked if there's any country star she inspires to be like. She said she really doesn't want to be like anyone. She would rather just be her self and create her own style and sound.

Mickie was asked if it was true if she really wrote a song in just five minutes. "Yeah, one day while I was on the road I had a song stuck in my head and I pulled over and scribbled down a few verses.

She also talked about her encounter with Dolly Parton. She described her as the definition of a "Diva" because she's great performer and singer. Mickie James and the host never mentioned WWE by name. They just referred to it as "wrestling."

Powell's POV: James made the rounds at FOX this week and appeared on a number of shows to promote her CD. I haven't heard of her working any indy dates, but there is a lot of talk that she will end up working for TNA given that Dixie Carter recently attended one of her music showcases.
