The idea of using Dallas Page as a WWE Royal Rumble entrant came up and there was contact between him and the company. However, the discussion did not lead to Page being added to the match.

Powell's POV: I'm not sure whether it was just a case of informal talks that did not go anywhere or if they just couldn't come to terms. Either way, I've been told that it's safe to scratch Page off the list of possible surprise Rumble match entrants.
