Jeff Hardy is giving the impression to friends that he will re-sign with WWE before his contract expires this summer. He's said to be burned out with the schedule and additional time off will likely be something he requests in contract negotiations.

In related news, Hardy has had talks with MTV regarding a reality television project. It's said to be tied to "The Hardy Show" that he and his brother produce together online. The MTV talks are simply at the discussion level, but Jeff is said to be very excited about the idea of having his a reality show on the network.

Powell's POV: The feeling of Hardy's peers is that it would be a wise business decision to re-sign with the company now that he's been slotted as the No. 2 babyface on the Smackdown brand behind only Undertaker, who doesn't work a full-time schedule. Hardy is also making more merchandise money as a singles act, as he and Matt Hardy split the Hardy Boys merchandise money for years. Of course, Jeff marches to the beat of his own drum and might not be as concerned about money as others in his position would be, but it's encouraging that he's giving friends the impression that he's open to re-signing.
