WWE officials are still planning to overhaul the ECW brand. There continues to be talk that the company will drop the ECW name. The latest discussions call for the new version of the Syfy show to be unveiled sometime after WrestleMania 26. The idea is to use a lot of younger talent on the show, but they will still include some veterans in the mix.

Powell's POV: WWE is thinking outside the box with the new vision for the Tuesday night show. There is talk of making it a better fit with the rest of the Syfy programming by going with more conspiratorial storylines. They are still very much in the planning stages, but it sounds like the company is committed to making the switch in 2010, but not before WrestleMania 26.
