Dot Net Exclusive notes: Shawn Michaels update, Bryan Danielson and WWE

-Shawn Michaels was not at Raw this week because he is simply selling the angle with Chris Jericho from last week's Raw. His father underwent open heart surgery recently, but is said to be doing better. Michaels has also had some legitimate eye problems of his own, but it's unknown whether he's seeking treatment while he sits out to sell the angle.

-Speaking of Michaels, he may hold the key to Bryan Danielson's future with WWE. A well-placed source noted today that Michaels has enough pull that he could get Danielson hired if he put in a good word for him. They spent time together backstage, but no one seems to know how close they actually are even though Danielson trained at Shawn's school.

Powell's POV: It sounds like Michaels will return to television sooner rather than later to resume his feud with Chris Jericho. I spoke with a source who doesn't believe Michaels has followed Danielson's career closely enough to watch his progress via Ring of Honor DVDs, so he may not realize how good his former student has become. One can only hope that he watched Danielson's dark match closely because he would be a solid addition to the WWE roster.
