Dot Net Exclusive notes: Rock isn't the only person to ruffle feathers by joking at a WWE HOF ceremony, WrestleMania 24 celebrities checked out early

-Duane "The Rock" Johnson isn't the first person who turned off some WWE colleagues by joking onstage at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. One person I spoke with earlier today said had it been his call to make, Jerry Lawler would have been fired on the spot for telling one-liners during his induction speech last year.

-Snoop Dogg, Kim Kardashian, and Reggie Bush were all spotted checking out of WWE's hotel in Orlando very early this morning. Snoop and his posse left around 6:00 a.m. and Kardashian and her NFL running back boyfriend split shortly thereafter.

Powell's POV: Those opposed to Rock and Lawler's antics are fine with humor, but seem to feel there's a difference between injecting humor into a speech and "making a mockery" of the event by telling one-liners that don't really fit with the theme of a typical Hall of Fame speech.

I thought celebrities like Snoop were still partying at six in the morning, not checking out of hotels. Maybe his wife told him, "No more Snoopin'."
