Dot Net Exclusive notes: Ezekiel and Brian Kendrick, Evan Bourne

-Shawn Michaels and Diesel are definitely the inspiration for the Brian Kendrick and Ezekiel characters, which shouldn't surprise anyone. WWE officials have been impressed by Ezekiel in the sense that he's respectful and hard working. The hope is that he'll learn while working with Kendrick and will eventually be able to break out as a singles wrestler.

-Don't blame WWE officials for the Evan Bourne name. Although they gave it the green light, Matt Sydal pitched the name to them after they pitched a name to him that he didn't care for.

Powell's POV: Kendrick and Ezekiel haven't shown much chemistry together since their act debuted on Smackdown. However, I expect that to change in the weeks ahead. After all, they're putting the spotlight on Kendrick to start with while letting Ezekiel play the silent, bodyguard character. One observer described Ezekiel as "green, but not bad."

I like the Evan Borne name. I know the natural assumption was that someone in WWE saw one of the Jason Bourne movies and came up with the name, but this was not their idea. No word on whether Sydal was inspired by the Bourne movies.
