Batista is still one of the least popular main event players in the locker room, according to multiple sources. He has his share of powerful friends in the company, but he rubs a lot of people the wrong way with what is perceived as an arrogant attitude. One wrestler noted that Chris Benoit played the role of locker room mentor for Batista. He was known to pull Batista aside, give him advice, and try to keep him in check at times when his ego was out of control.

Powell’s POV: The locker room heat on Batista is not as intense as it was when he and Booker T had it out back in 2006. The general feeling at the time was that Batista had it coming and Booker gained even more respect in the locker for standing up him. They eventually worked out their differences to the point that they were able to be professional in and out of the ring.

Colleagues say Batista’s two biggest interests in life seem to be women and cars, and they also note that management has spoken with him in the past about bringing women backstage and, um, “fraternizing” backstage with one of the Divas he dated.
