Democrat funded Moms Opposing McMahon once again protests former WWE CEO Linda McMahon's Senate campaign

A group calling itself Moms Against McMahon (M.O.M.) is once again protesting former WWE CEO Linda McMahon's US Senate bid in Connecticut. The group says Linda earned her fortune through the exploitation of her employees and is therefore, unfit for office. This is the same line of attack MOM used in Linda's unsuccessful 2010 campaign for the US Senate. The group, which is funded by the Connecticut Democrat Party, claims to have no ties to the Chris Shays campaign, the person expected to win the Democrat primary and run against McMahon in the general election in November. Shore's Slant: Without knowing all the details about MOM's organization, I cannot say definitively whether this is legal or not, but it would be hard to prove it is illegal in most cases. Outside groups can say and do whatever they want as long as there is no direct connection to the campaign, and direct connections are very difficult to prove.
