Correction: Jake Roberts will not be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year

Jake Roberts is not on the WWE Hall of Fame induction list this year, a reliable source confirmed tonight. As previously noted, the person who runs Roberts’ MySpace page issued a public statement last month that claimed he had not been invited. He had told people he was going to be at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony this year, and I am checking on where the confusion arose.

Powell’s POV: Jake is scheduled to be in Florida working an independent show on the afternoon of the Hall of Fame ceremony, so there is a chance he could attend the event, but he is not on the actual induction list. For the record, Jake’s personal assistant contacted me the day the story was posted and denied the induction story. I published the Myspace denial, but I waited to issue a correction until I knew for sure that it wasn’t issued in hopes of keeping his rumored induction quiet.
