Chris Jericho appeared via satellite from Chicago during Mickey Rourke's interview on "Larry King Live" on Wednesday. Jericho raved about Rourke's performance in the The Wrestler. "I think Mickey's performance was immaculate," Jericho said.

After praising Rourke, Jericho went into heel mode: "He made no mistakes, but I think he did make a mistake at the SAG Awards when he mentioned WrestleMania and called me out because if he got his wish and had a confrontation with me at WrestleMania, I think the ending of the Jericho-Rourke movie wouldn't turn out for Mr. Rourke as it did in The Wrestler."

Rourke played along and said he may have put his foot in his mouth at the SAG Awards. King asked if Rourke would wrestle Jericho: "If it was up to me, no, it's not my world," he said. "I was a professional fighter. Would I box him in a boxing ring or a bare knuckle match? Yeah. Wrestling? That's his world. That's what this man does."

Jericho said Rourke's comments were interesting and said be careful what he wishes for because his wish may come true. Jericho said Rourke offended him and that's the worst thing he could do. "You may have respect for me and for my world, but I don't have respect for you," Jericho said. I really don't." Several minutes after Jericho signed off, Rourke said it would be an honor to face him in the ring, but he has to be smart and not do some of the crazy things he did earlier in his career.

Powell's POV: During the serious part of the interview, Rourke said Vince McMahon has transcended pro wrestling in the same way that Steven Spielberg and George Lucas have film. Rourke also stated that Vince is a good person and he believes he has good intentions.

Overall, the segment came off corny. They tried to mix work and shoot and it didn't work. Rourke might be a great actor, but he smiles whenever he discusses the match and especially when Jericho acts like a heel. We can only assume that they're going to have a boxing match or a bare knuckles fight of some kind. The show will be replayed at 11:00 p.m. CT on Tuesday and again at 2:00 a.m.
