C.M. Punk says he was born to be a champion, reveals when he found out he was drafted to Raw

C.M. Punk told the Ottawa Sun that he had no idea he was moving to Raw until his name was called during the WWE Draft. "I didn't find out until everybody else did," Punk said. "I think I was reading the nutritional value in a can of Pepsi when my name came up. Everybody else was yelling, 'Go! Go!'"

Punk also commented on his World Hvt. Title win. "It's pretty amazing," said Punk. "I've been a wrestling fan my entire life. To me, world champions are guys like Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat, and Rick Rude.

"I feel validated and vindicated. All the birthday parties, graduations, weddings, funerals ... everything I ever missed. Now, I'm the champion. I've always believed this would happen. I'm not trying to be cocky, but it was something I was born to be." To read the full story, click here.

Powell’s POV: Am I the only one surprised that Punk doesn't know the nutritional value of a can of Pepsi? Maybe that can be his next tattoo. Cool interview. Punk clearly takes a lot of pride in winning the World Hvt. Title and it's always cool to see a guy live out his lifelong dream.
