7/27 WWE Smackdown taping: A second detailed report on the taping for Friday's television show (spoilers)

Dot Net reader Ever Munoz attended the WWE Smackdown taping in Corpus Christi, Texas and passed along the following report on the show.

Kane started in the ring with a promo on The Undertaker. Typical Kane promo. He did stated that he knew who put his brother in the vegetative state..... Rey Mysterio! He vowed revenge at SummerSlam...

1. Christian defeated Drew McIntyre via pinfall. Good match, a lot of back and forth action and countering. Christian won with a small package...

There was a "Dashing" Cody Rhodes promo with him talking about facials for today's modern man....   

An Alberto Del Rio vignette was show. He spoke about excellence and was shooting some pool. The video ended with him hitting a trick shot and the usual smirk...

2. Big Show defeated Luke Gallows via DQ. Short match finish came when the SES beat down Big Show, apparently injuring his hand on the steel steps after repeated stomps by all the SES members. A small trinket of info, apparently CM Punk is healed from his forearm injury because he took off his sling....

3. Dolph Ziggler defeated Kofi Kingston via DQ. Long, slow match, but the finish was worth it! It came when Kofi went crazy on Ziggler ala MSG (when he beat down Orton) minus the BIG boom drop at the end. Go out of your way to see this on TV...

4. Michelle McCool defeated Tiffany via pinfall. It was supposed to be Tiffany vs. Layla but Vickie came out and switched it up since they're "co champs". CRAZY heat for Vickie, ridiculous! The finish came when McCool hit the Styles Clash. After the match, Teddy Long came out and said LayCool had until next week to decide who would hold the title, Layla or Michelle...

5. Rey Mysterio vs. Jack Swagger ended in a No Contest. Best match of the night! HUGE pop for Mysterio! The action started in the ring but quickly spilled out in to the crowd where I was seated! Right in front of me! Awesome! Swagger actually yelled at me and my brother because we were cheering for Mysterio (also my brother was wearing a Rey mask so that didn't help)!

They actually fought to the outside of the arena and into the Gulf Of Mexico! The finish came when Swagger was about to throw Rey into the Gulf, but Mysterio reversed it into a huracarana! Out of nowhere, Kane showed up behind Mysterio and threw him into the Gulf!  I'm guessing that's where the finish of the taping was...

Dark Match Main Event

1. Kane defeated Big Show to retain the World Hvt. Championship in a steel cage match. It was supposed to be Mysterio vs. Kane, but since he was out swimming in the Gulf, somewhere they changed. Normal big man match which Kane won after escaping through the steel cage door.
