Dot Net reader Zachary Zimmerman attended the WWE Smackdown taping on Tuesday in Bridgeport, Conn. and passed along the following report.

Edge came out to a massive pop. Alberto Del Rio got good heat. I was surprised to see the main event open the show.

1. Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio ended no contest when Nexus (minus Barrett and Cena) came out and beat both men down. Pretty good match for what it was but I would have loved to see a solid 15 min clean finish between the two. Big Show, Rey Mysterio, and Kane came out to even the odds and they sent Nexus running. Teddy Long announced a 10-man tag for later in the show.

2. Dolph Ziggler over JTG. Ziggler put JTG out with the sleeper hold. Kaitlyn came out to congratulate Dolph, then Vickie ran down furious after Dolph got caught on camera kissing Kaitlyn on NXT earlier in the night. Teddy Long announced Vickie vs Kaitlyn for later tonight. Ugh.

Backstage, Nexus beat down Rey Mysterio

3. MVP defeated Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre in a Triple Threat. MVP pinned Mcintyre after kicking him in the face. Pretty good match. MVP came out to new music so hopefully a heel turn is coming. I guess not tonight given his opponents. Bummer. The focus was on the tension between Rhodes and McIntyre.

4. Vickie Guerrero beat Kaitlyn. I went to get food because I knew this would be the crap-fest of the night. I came back just in time to see Vickie win with a schoolgirl.

Backstage, Nexus beat down MVP and Kaval.

5. Tyler Reks beat Chris "Titty Dance" Masters. Reks won with his super safe Burning Hammer. Nothing to say other than it was a snoozer. I don't get how they're pushing Reks when he's still clearly too green and jobbing out good workers like Kaval and Masters and previously Mike Knox. Oh well...

I usually don't mind the silliness of kid WWE fans but I got frustrated when the kids behind me were talking about how John Cena was a real war hero in the army. They said that's why he salutes in his entrance. Come on... Really?

6. Edge, Kofi Kingston, Alberto Del Rio, Big Show, and Kane defeated The Nexus. Edge speared Otunga for the win. Del Rio walked out of the match towards the beginning. Kane got a babyface reaction for the night until he randomly chokeslammed Big Show. Edge speared Kane and then Otunga.

I left before the dark match, which was Edge vs Kane for the title. I'm making the bold assumption that Kane retained in some manner and then got laid out by Edge, Big show, or a combination of both.

Biggest pop:
Rey Mysterio
Edge
Big Show

Most heat:
Nexus
Vickie
