10/24 TNA in Racine, Wisc.: A.J. Styles faces a replacement wrestler in the main event when Samoa Joe is unable to wrestle, ODB vs. Alissa Flash for the TNA Knockouts Title, Matt Morgan vs. Rhino
Oct 27, 2009 - 09:08 AM |
TNA house show
Racine, Wisc. at the Racine Civic Center
Report by Dot Net reader Michael Miller
85 percent of the center was full. The place could hold 500. The show started on time at 7:30. Jeremy Borash was great all night playing up the crowd and giving away lots of backstage passes.
1. Alex Shelley defeated Kip James. Shelley won in 8 minutes with Slice Bread #2. Okay opening match.
2. Kiyoshi defeated Shark Boy (with a beer belly). Kiyoshi won in 10 minutes with a foot on ropes. An okay back and forth action, but Shark Boy with gut? Not good!
3. ODB defeated Alissa Flash to retain the TNA Knockouts Title. ODB won in 12 minutes with spinning diamond cutter. During her intro, ODB came out with some heavyset chick with a mega shining shirt! Not good!?! Lots of comedy in match including the ref breaking them up during a tie-up. He pulled them away and his hands was on their chests! Flash knocked his hand down, but ODB put the hand on her other boob and the ref went nuts! Good match.
4. Rhino defeated Matt Morgan. Rhino won in 12 minutes with a gore. Rhino was so OVER with his Hulk Hogan act! I've never seen Rhyno pose and flex so much ever. It was a fast moving match. After Rhino won, he grabbed a chair to finish Morgan but got KO'd with the Carbon Footprint to the chair, which struck his face.
5. Lethal Consequences defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir and Kiyoshi. Jay Lethal got the win for his team in 15 minutes with a top rope elbow. This was the best match of the night. Lots of X Division action. The best move of the night was when World Elite thew Jay into ropes and he springboarded off ropes and flipped over Both of opponents. When they turned around, he single leg dropkicked both of them. There where "holy sh--" and "TNA" chants. Awesome Match.
6. A.J. Styles defeated Scott Steiner to retain the TNA Title. Styles won in 17 minutes with the Pele kick. Before the match Samoa Joe cut a promo stating that he wasn't cleared to wrestle by his doctor because of what happened in chicago, so his Main Event Mafia partner would take his place. He was over as face until he started talking. Steiner was in super heel mode and almost went into the crowd three different times! A good match, as A.J. was on top of his game.
After the match A.J. invited everyone to the back, but JB and some hack wouldn't let it happen, so A.J. had the faces come out to the fans. JB said "the champ gets what he wants." Shelley, ODB, Shark Boy, and Lethal Consequences all came out and worked the crowd with signing and taking pics. They charged for A.J.'s because he is the champion. After 30 minutes, the rest of the faces went to the back. A.J. was still out talking to everyone, but they forced him to the back so everyone would leave the Center.
Most Over Faces: A.J., Shelley, ODB
Most Over Heels: Sheik, Rhyno, MEM
A great Show! Can't wait until next time.
