Notes: Great wrestling. All the faces won. Not a bad match on the card. If I had to pick one, it would be the women's match, but only because that was the comedy match of the night.
I would say there was 700-800 people but I am not that good at eyeballing crowds.
We got there and I bought 3 of the $36 tickets, which was the middle price. Front row was $50-something. Turns out the $36 tickets are not much of a different as we were ringside third row. That was awesome.
When they finally let us in, we went to the merchandise table. I was so busy trying to find the DVDs. I didn't notice Earl Hebner sitting at the table autographing the programs.
So I spent $20 on a program, which was more or less a picture book.
They had a lot of shirts, Sting masks, and other various items. Their DVD selection was only four titles(which is lame) and i already owned them.
Before we went in, there was this crowd listening to this couple. I would say they 19-20 years old, and they were spouting their wisdom on behind the scenes wrestling. The guy was like 5-5 dressed in all black and had a replica belt around his waist, completing the tool look.
The gal was telling this little kid (probably 6 or 7) that Jeff Hardy was fired for drugs and now he is going to prison for getting busted with drugs. I had to walk away.
After ODB's match, she was walking around the ring and a guy handed out his full beer so she could take a drink from it. She took the whole thing. She was cool enough to give him her flask.
Hebner was pretty much playing the heel prior to the start, as he was flipping off fans and what not.
Eric Young gave a great promo running down Wisconsin, which I was doing the pro heel thing, then he had to go and praise Favre, which led to some profanity.
The best match of the night was Motor City Machine Guns vs. World Elite. MCMG is just super fluid with great moves.
It's always weird how small the rings look.
Beer Money was huge over!!!
At the end, some TNA stars came out and signed our programs.
I got ODB, Hernandez, James Storm (who had a beautiful silver cross around his neck), Daniels, and, of course, Jeremy Borash!!!
Overall, great wrestling.
This shows me what TNA could do for Impact (which Borash never once pimped) but just don't. So I am done with Impact and will just buy the DVD pay-per-views where i can get wrestling.
They also had a great deal at intermission where you could buy there 4 DVDs (which were the last four pay-per-views) and a t-shirt for $20 - for a savings of $80, but i already had the discs. Still, a great deal.
And as far as I know, Hebner didn't steal anything.
