3/27 TNA in Rochester, Minn.: Jeff Jarrett vs. Kurt Angle, A.J. Styles vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir, Suicide vs. Chris Sabin for the X Division Title, ODB and Jeremy Borash homecoming

TNA in Rochester, Minn.
Report by Dot Net reader Doug Clymer

This was TNA's first visit to Minnesota ever and their third ever tour of the upper Midwest. The arena was about 1/2 full; ringside area was nearly a sellout. The crowd was kept in the event all night by announcer Jeremy Borash as well as the energy shown by the TNA superstars. It was also mentioned that Jeremy was a native Minnesotan as well as knockout ODB. Referees for the evening were Rudy Charles and Mark "Slick" Johnson.

1. TNA X Division Champ Suicide defeated Chris Sabin by pin to retain his title.

2. Minnesota native ODB beat Sojourner Bolt by pin in a Knockouts bout.

3. Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) over Team No Limit by pin.

4. A.J. Styles defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir by pin.

5. TNA World Tag Champs Beer Money Inc. over the Latin American Exchange by pin to retain the TNA Tag Titles.

6. Jeff Jarrett defeated Kurt Angle by pin in a close bout (outside interference by Sheik Abdul Bashir backfired for Kurt Angle--Jarrett ended up hitting Angle with his guitar)

Notes: For the most part, this was a good house show. I'm, by no means, am saying it was a PPV quality show but it had its high points. After the main event, Team 3D took photos with fans inside the six sided ring for a fee. And many of the superstars came out to sign autographs for fans who were waiting near ringside. It also was "slipped" by JB that the company will likely return before the end of 2009 and that their return may possibly be as a pay-per-view event. I was impressed by this group of performers and hope to make their next appearance in Rochester.

Best pops: Team 3D, A.J. Styles, ODB
Best heat: Beer Money, Sheik Abdul Bashir, No Limit

Next stop for TNA Live: Spencer, Ia. on March 28 (Sat night)
