TNA house show
Brooklyn, N.Y. at MCU Field (outdoor show)
Report by Dot Net reader Karon Gittens

Just got back from the TNA show at MCU field. It was packed, I would say about 3-4 thousand easy with very few empty seats.

Jeremy Borash welcomes us to the show and announces the first match.

1. Amazing Red beat Jay Lethal, Homicide, and Brian Kendrick in a four-way. Big pop for Homicide and Red, as both hail from Brooklyn. Amazing Red got the win.

2. Angelina Love defeated Madison Rayne in a non-title match. It was supposed to be for the Knockouts Title, but Madison got on the mic before the match and said that since Angelina is getting a title shot at Victory Road, this match was non-title. The crowd was really into the Knockouts, especially Angelina, who won by pinfall.

Jeff Jarrett came out and thanked the fans for coming. He said NYC has the most vocal fans. Lots of "Thank you, Jeff" chants.

3. Kurt Angle defeated Desmond Wolfe. The crowd popped big for Angle. Solid match with Kurt getting the win by ankle lock submission.

4. Jeff Hardy over Abyss in a monsters ball match. Hardy took unusually long to come out the tunnel, his music almost finished playing before he finally made his entrance (weird). I don't have to tell you how over Hardy is. The crowd went nuts. A decent match, but honestly Hardy looked out of it. Not sure if he was tired or something else was at work but he definitely didn't give 100 percent in this match. But he did get the win via the Swanton. Hardy shook hands with all the fans around ringside before leaving

20 min intermission

5. Team 3D beat Ink Inc. in a tables match Hailing from NYC, of course they get a loud pop. Lots of "we want tables" and "ECW" chants. 3D worked as faces and Ink Inc. as heels. Team 3D put Jesse Neal through a table for the win.

6. Rob Van Dam pinned AJ Styles to retain the TNA Title. AJ got a decent pop but then got on the mic and dissed NY and Jay-Z, which got him some heat. Good match with RVD getting the win with the frog splash. RVD stuck around and took pics with fans.

Notes: Overall, good show. The weather was nice, The crowd was hot from start to finish. Good turnout for TNA. my boy who went with me doesn't watch TNA that much and was surprised by the turnout. There was some disappointment that Beer Money and Samoa Joe weren't there.

Biggest Pops:
Kurt Angle
Homicide
Team 3D
Jeff Hardy
RVD

Biggest Heat
Ink inc
AJ
Abyss
