TNA on-air personality and former women's wrestler Sara Lee died on Saturday
Apr 6, 2008 - 08:56 AM |
Sara Lee, who appeared in some on-camera segments for TNA back in 2002, died on Saturday. She was a top female wrestler in Tennessee in the '50s and '60s and appeared in the Lipstick and Dynamite documentary. She also helped with ticket sales when TNA was running shows in Memphis. For more information on her career, visit TNAwrestling.com.
Powell's POV: Lee appeared on the first TNA pay-per-view event in Huntsville, Ala. with her husband Corsica Joe in a legends ceremony. I also seem remember her swinging a broom at one of the wrestlers back in the Memphis days. The TNA website article has some additional information about her career and is a nice tribute.
