Hulk Hogan on NBC's "Late Night" recap: Hogan says he wants to talk to the TNA wrestlers about "theory and the art form and get them back on track"
Oct 29, 2009 - 11:12 AM

Hulk Hogan appeared on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" on Wednesday night. Fallon spoke about how exited "the 12-year-old me is." He said he was a huge fan and had a bunch of Hogan merchandise when he was younger. Hogan spoke about "bottoming out" with the end of his marriage and Nick Bollea's car accident. He told the story about Laila Ali saving his life.

Fallon said the big news was that Hogan was returning to the ring. He said he's going to Australia to "get my sea legs" back. "I've been watching what's going on and there's no choices for the fans or the talent," Hogan said. "I said, 'You know what, I know a lot about this business and I want to give everybody a choice again,' so I hooked up with TNA.

"I don't know what's going to happen, but I know a little bit about this business so it's going to be kind of cool to get back in there and talk to them about theory and the art form and get them back on track with this thing." You can watch clips from the interview at LateNightWithJimmyFallon.com.

Powell's POV: My guess is that Hogan was primarily referring to the younger wrestlers (X Division) when he said he wants to teach them theory and the art form. It will be very interesting to find out how that message is received when/if he delivers it in the TNA locker room. Hogan's hype for TNA still leaves plenty to be desired. TNA officials are probably happy being mentioned during these media appearances, but he hasn't gone out of his way to put over the company in a meaningful way yet.
