Former TNA tag champion unwanted
Sep 3, 2009 - 10:11 AM |
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced on Wednesday that they will not be signing controversial cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones. "We will pursue athletes that we believe will contribute to our organization on and off the field," head coach Mike Kelly told CBC Sports.
"We have completed our assessment and due diligence and, at this time, we will not be pursuing the services of Adam Jones." To read the full story, visit CBC.ca. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Steve W.]
Powell's POV: There were reports that Jones had agreed to a one-year contract with the Blue Bombers, but apparently team officials had a change of heart. Jones, who played for the Titans and Cowboys in the NFL, was a TNA Tag Champion briefly even though he never actually wrestled. You know the guy is a whack job when even a CFL team passes on a player with his ability.
