TNA president Dixie Carter says she's not a fan of running monthly pay-per-views
Sep 1, 2009 - 12:27 PM |
TNA president Dixie Carter appeared on the Live Audio Wrestling show on Sunday night and said she would prefer to cut back on the number of pay-per-view events the company runs each year. "I'm not a big fan of monthly pay-per-views, quite honestly," Carter said.
"But you have contracts that keep you held in and bound at times. We're definitely talking about how we can shake things up and how we can do things differently in the future." You can listen to the full interview at TheFightNetwork.com.
Powell's POV: It sounds like the company might scale back on the number of pay-per-view events they run once the current contracts expire. Unfortunately, she didn't indicate when that would be. Obviously, the company must not be making enough money from pay-per-views to justify holding 12 events annually.
