TNA President Dixie Carter issued her first public comments on Jeff Jarrett's status with the company during an interview with Kevin Eck of the Baltimore Sun on Wednesday. "Jeff’s been working on a lot of different things for the company," Carter said. "He’s been working with me on developing new programming in kind of a bigger capacity in some ways, but that’s been his focus as of late."

When asked if there was a timetable for Jarrett's return to television, Carter added: "Creatively, no. I don’t know. I would assume sooner than later, but I’m not sure exactly story line wise when that will be."

Carter on whether she would prefer to compete with WWE Raw on Monday nights: "I think that you’re going to see some different things with us and Spike. I think that’s our goal going into this. Do we know specifically what they’re going to be? No. Does Spike love us for Thursday night on their network? Absolutely, they do. Is that our preference? Powell's POV: Dixie also cited the fact that Kurt Angle is innocent until proven guilty as the reason for keeping the TNA Title on him despite his legal issues. Kudos to Carter for answering questions regarding Jarrett and Angle, and big props to Eck for asking the questions. Carter understandably didn't say too much about the Jarrett and Angle situations, but at least she addressed them to some extent. A highly recommended read.
