TNA teased the debut of the Andromeda character a few months ago, but never followed up. The character was going to be played by the openly gay wrestler Cassandro, who wrestles in Mexico. Cassandro has been telling friends that he felt two people who would have had some control over his character were rude and homophobic. He claims he has no interest in working for the company as a result.

Powell's POV: It's important to remember this is simply Cassandro's side of the story. A TNA source told me recently that the Mexican performer wasn't brought back was due to visa issues or something along those lines. At any rate, several readers have asked why TNA never followed up on the vignettes, so there's both sides of the story.
