New Japan Pro Wrestling is officially recognizing The British Invasion as the IWGP Tag Champions, according to Puroresufan.com. The promotion previously did not recognize the title change that took place on TNA television. Powell's POV: New Japan originally used the storyline that they didn't sanction the title match and thus the change didn't count. One can only assume we'll see a title change in the near future.
