TNA Impact rating: How did the show perform in the ratings following the online buzz regarding the Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle saga?
Jul 27, 2009 - 04:56 PM |
Thursday's TNA Impact drew a 1.3 rating, which is up from the 1.14 rating the show drew last week. The show had 1.8 million viewers.
The highest rated segment of the show went to the TNA Knockouts battle royal. Meanwhile, the lowest rated segment was the final quarter-hour, which featured the "keys on a pole" match between Kurt Angle and Mick Foley.
Powell's POV: It's possible the increase had nothing to do with the online buzz about the Jeff Jarrett situation. It probably didn't hurt the show's cause, but this was also the first show since the TNA Victory Road pay-per-view. Am I the only person who is happy to see the "keys on a pole" match do the lowest rating of the show? I like Angle and Foley, but the pole match idea is ridiculous.
