TNA star Kurt Angle says you'd have to be "an adamant TNA fan or a rocket scientist" to understand the King of the Mountain match
Jun 20, 2009 - 11:31 AM |
Kurt Angle hyped the Slammiversary pay-per-view by telling Slam Wrestling that the wrestlers involved in the King of the Mountain match probably won't be let in on the finish until Sunday morning.
Angle also offered some odd hype for the match. "This match is so innovative," Angle said. "You have to be a rocket scientist or adamant TNA fan to understand it." To read the full interview, visit Slam Wrestling.
Powell's POV: I'm sure Kurt meant that as a compliment regarding the King of the Mountain match, but I don't think it's a wise idea to go with complicated matches that are difficult to follow. I understand the rules of the KOTM match, but I've never been a fan of the way the winner has to hang the title belt on a hook rather than retrieve it. It comes across as backwards rather than innovative and I really wish they'd tweak the rules one of these years.
Check back on Sunday night for my live coverage report of the TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT for the free preview match.
