Dot Net TNA News - The full story on a Knockout's release, plus major heat on another Knockout
May 5, 2009 - 02:25 PM

Roxxi was released from her TNA contract recently. Although she posted a note on her Twitter page wishing the company the best in their future endeavors, multiple TNA sources report that she was actually released by the company and did not request her release.

There is a lot of heat on Rhaka Khan over the firing and her general behavior, as Roxxi's termination can be traced back to a locker room incident that took place between the two at a television taping. Khan was upset that she wasn't given enough to do in a battle royal. When agent Savio Vega was going over the match, he had to ask her repeatedly to turn down the music she was playing. She eventually complied, but when he asked her to join the rest of the group she snapped at him and said she is tall enough to see over everyone.

During the actual match, Rhaka caught Roxxi with a flurry of stiff shots. The story goes that Roxxi returned fire with a forearm shot that caught Khan's nose. Khan dropped to her knees and screamed, which was edited off the Impact broadcast. Khan eventually headed backstage and complained loudly about the stiff shot. She complained that the other Knockouts don't like her and said she could "get real" with them.

A well-placed source notes that Roxxi approached Khan backstage to make amends, but Khan wanted nothing to do with it. Khan was also overheard complaining to then-boyfriend Kurt Angle, and alleged that the other Knockouts were stealing her clothes and had destroyed or stolen her laptop computer. Khan and Roxxi eventually made peace, yet neither were brought back to television. Roxxi was recently released, while Khan remains listed on the bio page on the company website. Sources say that while Khan hasn't appeared on television, she has been flying herself to some TNA television events in recent weeks.

Powell's POV: The feeling of the people I've spoken with is that Roxxi got a raw deal and that Khan is getting away with ridiculously over the top behavior because of her ties to Angle. In fact, Khan was so upset about newcomer Madison Rayne being late for a spot during a recent gauntlet match that she kicked her head hard enough to cause temporary hearing loss.

Regarding the allegations of stolen clothes, one source cracked, "None of this has ever happened because who in the f--- would want them?" Angle has been spotted blowing off some of Khan's rants backstage, but the feeling exists that management is tolerating her antics simply because of her relationship with Angle. Kurt stated during a recent appearance on Howard Stern's radio show that he is no longer dating Rhaka, yet several observers feel that Roxxi would still be on the active roster had it not been for her issues with Khan.
