TNA Knockout says she was the one of the most talented women in WWE developmental, "but they were more interesting in hiring Hooters girls and models"
Nov 17, 2008 - 12:07 PM |
TNA's Angelina Love explained why she never caught on in WWE despite working in their developmental system. "It just never happened for me," she told Mike Mooneyham of Charleston.net. "I tore my ACL and was out for 10 months. I was probably the most talented girl they had in developmental, but they were more interested in hiring Hooters girls and models and putting them on TV without any experience.
"They had me up at TV for a few ideas but it never panned out, and I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. So obviously there’s a reason why my first run in WWE didn’t work. We’ll see what happens in the future." To read the full story, which includes Love's thoughts on the Sarah Palin publicity stunt, visit Charleston.net.
Powell's POV: Love has a good thing going in TNA with Velvet Sky as The Beautiful People. The duo is generally amongst the most entertaining acts on Impact each week and I'm sure WWE would be interested in hiring her if she ever chooses to try her luck again. Given that last line about the future, it seems like she is at least open to the idea of working there again.
