Dot Net Exclusive Notes: Judas Mesias on his way out? Weather issues in Orlando
Feb 27, 2008 - 09:30 AM

-The word going around the locker room at the TNA tapings on Tuesday night was that Judas Mesias has worked his last match with the company for a while. Although no one had a definitive explanation and both sides are said to be open to working together in the future, multiple sources are under the impression that he is not scheduled for any future dates with the company.

Judas has been working on a nightly deal for TNA. Prowrestling.net has learned that Mesias makes roughly $300 more per match in TNA than he does in Mexico. However, he can work up to five nights per week and earn close to $100,000 per year for the AAA promotion, which is presumably more than TNA was willing to pay him.

-There was some concern that the storms that struck Florida on Tuesday were going to be an issue for TNA, but they managed to get the tapings in without incident. There were flights delayed coming in and out of Orlando due to severe thunderstorms and tornadoes in the area. Travel was not an issue because the crew arrived on Monday for the first night of the tapings.

Powell’s POV: Judas had been pushing TNA for a contract, but it appears the two sides were unable to strike a deal. One of the problems with him working for both companies is that he couldn’t make all the TNA dates, including pay-per-views, due to his AAA commitments. Judas is said to be in line for a big babyface push in Mexico. I was told by a TNA office worker over the weekend that Jim Mitchell’s status with the company is secure and he is under contract, but it remains to be seen who he’ll manage if Mesias is out.

Yes. Big things tend to happen when Vince is on the show.
No. Advertising Vince won't change my viewing habits.
