TNA personality Brooke Hogan teases interest in having a match, on which Hall of Famer's son told her the blood in wrestling was actually ketchup
Jan 17, 2013 - 04:12 PM |
TNA personality Brooke Hogan spoke with Alfonso Castillo of Newsday.com. The following are the highlights of the interview.
-On working a match: "You don’t grow up with Hulk Hogan as your dad and not learn a few moves." She said she would "love" to have her father in her corner during a match.
-On being cautious in the ring: "You have to remember that you’ve got to be smart when you’re throwing your body around. My dad was 23, 24 years old with tons of testosterone and adrenaline just going buck wild. Now that I have him watching out for me. He says, ‘Listen, when you do this leg drop or you take this bodyslam, you have to protect yourself.’ He’s making me think about what I’m doing more than just throwing myself out there and being a boy.”
-On the watching her father and Ric Flair: "David Flair is a very close friend of ours. I remember sitting there watching WrestleManias with him. Our moms would sit us down in front of the TV together and we’d watch our dads get bloody. He was the one who would tell me, ‘Don’t worry. It’s ketchup! It’s ketchup!’ I learned later on that it wasn’t ketchup."
Powell's POV: Brooke is making the media rounds to promote the wedding angle that will air on TNA Impact Wrestling tonight. She's been in work mode regarding the wedding. I caught her and Bully Ray on the Busted Open Sirius/XM radio show on Wednesday. They were very comical in discussing their relationship.
