TNA Impact Wrestling rating: First show of 2013 delivers best rating since August

Thursday's TNA Impact Wrestling television show drew a 1.14 rating, up from the 0.96 rating the show drew last week. Impact averaged 1.618 million viewers.
Powell's POV: TNA drew its best rating since August 23. The lack of NFL competition is a big factor in the increase. There is also room for optimism regarding ratings improvements, as they went against a college football bowl game on ESPN that drew 12.3 million viewers. The college bowl season concludes on Monday with the national championship game, meaning TNA is finished with football competition until August.
