TNA Impact Wrestling quarter-hour ratings: A breakdown of how the various segments performed in the ratings during Open Fight Night
Sep 24, 2012 - 03:32 PM

By Jason Powell

The following are the quarter-hour ratings for Thursday's TNA Impact Wrestling television show.

Q1: 0.86 rating - Hulk Hogan and Shaquille O'Neal backstage, Kurt Angle and A.J. Styles name Open Fight NIght opponents, Angle and Styles vs. Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez

Q2: 0.98 rating - Tag match continuation with interference from Daniels and Kazarian, Hulk Hogan out to announce Bound For Glory tag title match, Hulk Hogan talks with Joseph Park, BFG Memory video

Q3: 0.93 rating - Evan Markopouloulos video, Dixie Carter and Bruce Prichard talk backstage, Markopoulos vs. Doug Williams in Gut Check match

Q4: 0.96 rating - James Storm calls out Bobby Roode, Roode says he won't face Storm, Hogan tells Roode he has to face Storm, two commercial breaks

Q5: 1.09 rating - Storm vs. Roode, Hogan on the phone with Aces & 8s

Q6: 1.11 rating - Austin Aries and Jeff Hardy talk backstage, Tara promo and bullies Christy Hemme until Miss Tessmacher makes the save, Brooke Hogan bickers with Tara, Hogan in-ring promo

Q7: 1.09 rating - Aces & 8s on the big screen in back and forth with Hogan, Joseph Park struck with a hammer, Jeff Hardy video, Austin Aries in-ring promo and calls out Bully Ray

Q8: 1.06 rating - Aries vs. Bully Ray, Hardy out to help Aries, Aries gets upset when he sees Hardy holding the TNA Title

Powell's POV: The show drew a 0.97 overall rating and averaged 1.34 million viewers on Thursday. It appears that some viewers just aren't watching the first hour, as ratings generally increase for TNA in the second hour. As I mentioned on Friday, it will be interesting to see how Impact ratings are affected by NFL Network and Time Warner cable finally reaching a deal that will give 12 million cable subscribers a chance to watch NFL games on Thursday night.
