TNA announcers Mike Tenay and Taz wished WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler a speedy recovery during Thursday's Impact Wrestling television show on behalf of the entire company.

Powell's POV: Taz also acknowledged his friendship with Lawler. The well wishes came prior to the opening X Division Title match. A classy move by TNA. As I mentioned in my report, I didn't think TNA was obligated to do this because I would be surprised if WWE would extend the same courtesy if the situation was reversed and a TNA performer with no WWE history was hospitalized. That said, it was a nice gesture by TNA and it was also a wise move from the standpoint that they would have upset some pro wrestling fans had they not done so.
