TNA Impact Wrestling rating: Did the Olympics take away the DirecTV gains?

TNHA Impact Wrestling scored a 1.01 last night, down from the 1.08 the show earned last week after DirecTV and Viacom settled their dispute. The show averaged 1.4 million viewers, down from last week's 1.58 million viewer average.
Shore's Slant: Considering Impact went against Michael Phelps and women's gymnastics, both gold medal moments for the USA, this is not a terrible ratings drop. I know I would be happy if I was Dixie Carter and company. TNA only has one more week of Olympic coverage, but then just a few weeks later the NFL season, complete with a full slate of Thursday night games, begins. The water doesn't get any less choppy for TNA.
