TNA News: Dixie Carter and King Mo Lawal on MMA Uncensored Live notes - Carter comments on King Mo's steroid suspension, says he'll be the most tested man in both sports
May 10, 2012 - 10:42 PM

TNA president Dixie Carter, Bellator Fighting Championship's CEO Bjorn Rebney, and their new co-signee King Mo Lawal appeared on Spike TV's Uncensored Live on Thursday. The following are the highlights.

-King Mo was asked about the falling out with Zuffa/UFC. Mo said it was simply a case of one door closing and two doors opening.

-Rebney said he expects MMA fans to know the difference to between TNA and

-Dixie said she's been vocal in wanting an MMA and TNA crossover athlete. She said she ran into resistance "finding the head of a company that saw the potential in this."

-Carter was asked about King Mo's steroid suspension. "I've heard the story and I completely support where he's at. We drug test as well. I'm the only head of a wrestling company that's gone and testified in front of Congress about illegal steroid use. I feel completely confident with our testing, he'll be the most tested person in both of our sports and he'll be fine with that."

-Mo said he's fine with that. He said went through drug testing from 2005 to 2009. "I'm an open book."

-Mo said he will defer to his

-Carter said King Mo will debut in TNA first. He won't fight for Bellator until they debut on Spike TV next year. "The most important thing is his health," Carter said. "Once he's healthy we'll make a decision on when he debuts with us, but the key thing is to get him healthy."

-Carter confirmed that King Mo could technically wrestle for them tomorrow despite his steroid suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

-Dixie said that Kurt Angle might be the only person in MMA or pro wrestling that can compete with King Mo's amateur wrestling accomplishments.

-Carter and Rebney wrapped up their role on the show before the commercial break.

-Mo was asked about Zuffa. "They're alright if you like working long days in the hot field, begging for water," he said with a smile. "In Bellator, I'm in the AC sipping cold lemonade, getting massages. It's a big difference. I think Zuffa has so many people that they look at their fighters are just numbers, which is cool, it's a business, they're trying to make money. But I feel like Bellator is a lot closer family and the people are more personable."

-Mo was asked whether a TNA or Bellator title would be more important. "Whichever one I win first is the most important win," he said. "You have to pay your dues (in wrestling). I have to go to Ohio Valley to work on my in-ring skills, to chain wrestle. You can't just throw somebody out there and be like, 'Hey, perform, you get the belt. You have to put in the hours and the days and years to perfect your craft." He said he thinks it could take him a year to two years before he wins the TNA Title.

-Mo claims he took a supplement that was available on the market until 2009 and that led to his failed drug test.

-Mo was asked to name his favorite wrestlers. He listed Ric Flair, Booker T, and The Great Muta.
